CSR approach

WE RAISE AWARENESS AMONG OUR TEAMS AND CUSTOMERS

– Our two environmental managers have undergone specific CSR training, and all our staff will follow the same course.

– Our teams are trained in the eco-gestures to be observed in their daily tasks;

– We choose our service providers and suppliers on the basis of their sustainable and social commitments;

– We offer numerous alternatives to limit car travel: bike and scooter hire on the forecourt, 3 streetcar lines opposite the hotel, car pooling…

– We encourage our staff to take a bicycle or electric bike to work.

– We recycle paper, using both sides of the sheet before throwing it away

– We use recycled ink cartridges to respect environmental impact


WE SAVE WATER AND ENERGY:

– We have installed water economizers/pressure reducers on taps, showers and toilet flushes so as not to deplete the resource;

– We read our water, electricity and gas meters every month to better manage our consumption;

– We replace every light bulb with an LED or low-energy bulb, and have already fitted over 70% of our lighting;

– We have installed presence detectors and timers in corridors, storerooms and pantries to limit energy wastage.

– We have installed individual temperature controllers in each room, meeting room and office, so that we can adjust the temperature to suit each individual.

– We have invested in a new dishwashing tunnel that uses less water and electricity.

– We have invested in two programmable ovens with timed start to consume energy during selected off-peak hours.

– We have a display in the guestroom bathrooms inviting guests to reuse their towels during their stay by resting them on the towel rack so that they don’t have to change them every day.

– We only change bed linen every three days during our customers’ stay, to limit the number of machines and products discharged into the environment.


WE LIMIT AND SORT WASTE:

– We have set up waste sorting garbage cans in all rooms and at reception.

– We sort all types of waste, including biowaste and glass.

– We work with a majority of products in large packaging to limit unnecessary packaging;

– We offer hospitality products only on request to reduce packaging waste;

– We don’t use plastic crockery and provide bamboo cutlery for the market.

– We have replaced plastic glasses in the bathrooms with Arcoroc toothbrushes;

– We have replaced shampoo bottles and other products with dispensers in the bathrooms;

– We have replaced plastic straws at the bar with rice flour straws;


WE CARE ABOUT THE WELL-BEING OF OUR CUSTOMERS:

– In our grocery store, you’ll find many products from our region, sourced directly from producers;

– We cook meat-free meals, using seasonal and local produce, and we adapt to certain special diets;

– The products used to clean our rooms and common areas are all eco-labelled, which means better air quality and fewer health risks;

– Our establishment is completely non-smoking

– Our green spaces are maintained without pesticides, and we use alternative methods to control weeds and insects;

– We have partnerships with local recycling centers and donate our old equipment and furniture.

– We work with companies that employ people undergoing vocational retraining or with disabilities.
